As we march forth in our own fun way.

Just hanging around and laughing a lot,

It is truly amazing what we have got.

I have a message for each one

Feelings of friendship cannot be undone

Pouring emotions cannot be irrational

But, this is for you my gals

For Ederleen with eyes so mesmerizing 

Everyone was stuck in a moment when she sings

Enlightens your mood when she speaks

Talk to her, and you’ll never know the clock ticks

You’ll be fantasized on the other side of her

A flower that can be a dragon when angered

Famous for her warm smiles 

That can melt your heart on a thousand miles

For Jaja with a heart whelming voice

A girl who makes her own choice

With a boyish personality she posses 

Swears she’s not going to wear dresses

Favourite color is blue

Likes to find bishie in a view

Rates them by one to ten

If she sees them by then.

When she finds a red haired man

Rates him zero point one (0.1)

For Monique with a hidden rock and roll personality

Hides in her own shell beneath the sea

Conquer challenges with laughter

Believes in “Happily Ever After”

A Cinderella in the outside 

But a Mulan in the inside

Drools over a drum set

But doesn’t know how to play it yet

Another unique personality you’ll never forget

Being her friend, I won’t regret

For Francis my Daddy

Missing tween of our dearest Jollibee

Dedicates his self for food

If his hungry, stay away for good

Serves us our brain 

In science, grades we gain

Always gets angry when he's ignored

But, approaches us when he's board

He's always there to cheer us up

If your in a state of sadness he'll approach  you ASAP  

A friendship like ours is not easy to come by,

Often the intensity of it makes me so high.

Is our beautiful friendship really only a dream?

Sometimes it feels so unreal that I must scream.

Cries of joy and happiness galore,

And that is what I most adore.

Your infectious laughter and zest for life,

But I am there to keep you from strife.

How lucky we are to have found one another,

I couldn't spend so much time without my JAGGER

I will always be there to watch over you,

To keep you safe and happy too.

Well my dears I wish you to be happy once more,

An abundance of good wishes for you guys are in store.

 New days filled with lots of happiness and laughter,

Resurrecting our Wonderful World

            “I see trees of green, red roses too, I see them bloom, for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world.” This is a famous line by Louis Armstrong, referring to nature.  An explicit beauty looked forward by many. Splendour of rich resources and a reservoir of wonders. That is how we see nature BEFORE. Look around you? What can you see? A vast destruction caused by nature’s number on enemy pollution.

            Pollution is one of the biggest problems the world faces today. It is an issue that troubles us economically, physically and everyday of our lives. The contamination of the environment is also being linked to some of the diseases that are around currently. Yet, most people do not know about this problem. This shows that environmental pollution is becoming an increasingly worse problem that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible, not only for the good of the environment but also for the people that live in it. Many factors are present for why environmental pollution has become such a large issue in the world. However, if the people of the world were to address the issue it would definitely help both the environment and its people. There are many activities that can be done by both the common citizen to the governments of the world, which could severely improve the world’s environmental problem. On the other hand, if the current way the world’s environmental problem is being handled continues, catastrophic consequences can follow for the future population.

            We have to stand for nature. If we wouldn’t maybe our next generation raise might not be able to see it for long. There were little things we could do in order to save it.

             We could plant more trees to create more oxygen to keep the bad air away from the atmosphere, or we could just stop cutting down the rainforest. We are living and we need the space but we aren't the only species on this earth. Saving the rainforest is not only good for us and the atmosphere but also good for the many different species that it homes.

             We could try to get as many people as possible to switch to hybrids and other energy saving things to use less fossil fuel for energy and relying more on solar and wind energy. Fossil fuels are destroying our earth and we need to limit the use of it. Recycling is a great and easy way to help our precious planet. Everyone can help, all they have to do is follow three simple rules; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

              Let’s intertwined our hopes together and bring back the wonderful world we all grown up to.

            

A Tragedy Comes with Humor

       

            The story of Romeo and Juliet is an inevitable tragedy. Many events take place, which are quite detrimental to the love Romeo and Juliet have for one another. By mentioning marriage and death together, Shakespeare foreshadows Romeo and Juliet's tragic ending. From the very beginning of the play throughout and to the end, there has always been the intent of a tragedy, and Shakespeare uses much dramatic irony to express this. In the Prologue, the Chorus tells us that "their death will bury their parents' strife," and it does. After a heart quenching tragedy a flower of peace suddenly bloomed. Tragedy that leads to a sad ending.

            Juliet returns home to discover the wedding has been moved ahead one day, and she is to be married tomorrow. That night, Juliet drinks the potion, and the Nurse discovers her, apparently dead, the next morning. The Capulets grieve, and Juliet is entombed according to plan. But Friar Lawrence’s message explaining the plan to Romeo never reaches Mantua. Its bearer, Friar John, gets confined to a quarantined house. Romeo hears only that Juliet is dead.

            Romeo learns only of Juliet’s death and decides to kill himself rather than live without her. He buys a vial of poison from a reluctant Apothecary, then speeds back to Verona to take his own life at Juliet’s tomb. Outside the Capulet crypt, Romeo comes upon Paris, who is scattering flowers on Juliet’s grave. They fight, and Romeo kills Paris. He enters the tomb, sees Juliet’s inanimate body, drinks the poison, sadly the poison didn’t work on him and he was devastated. Just then, Friar Lawrence enters. At the same time, Juliet awakes. She was surprised that Romeo is by her side. Romeo hugged Juliet and suddenly felt a pang inside his chest. It hurts so bad that Romeo collapsed on Juliet’s arms dead.  Friar Lawrence hears the coming of the watch. When Juliet refuses to leave with him, he flees alone. Juliet sees her beloved Romeo and realizes he has killed himself with poison. She kisses his poisoned lips, and when that does not kill her, buries his dagger in her chest, falling dead upon his body.

            The watch arrives, followed closely by the Prince, the Capulet, and Montague. Montague declares that Lady Montague has died of grief over Romeo’s exile. Seeing their children’s bodies, Capulet and Montague agree to end their long-standing feud and to raise gold statues of their children side-by-side in a newly peaceful Verona.

          

Modern Day Monarch: Romeo and Juliet

A novel that was written to deliver emotions, trigger tears and most of all show the true nature of true love. A story of tangled fate of two lovers and a bittersweet tragedy that awaits them. Fate that was a power and force that causes courses of events to inevitably happen in the future. Romeo and Juliet are the fools of the heavens that are continually being used for play. Though the young couple refuses to give up on their love, they cannot escape Fate. Death that bounded their love for each other and the coffin where their cold body lies together were the components of tragedy that occurred in the story. Components that left me hanging by a moment and tears that were trickling down my cheeks one after another. After releasing my emotions I thought of an idea. Many questions flooded my mind especially” What if Romeo as able to receive Friar Lawrence letter?”, “What if the vial did not work on Juliet?” and many more. I want to devote to you my alternative ending on Romeo and Juliet’s love story:

As she stepped down the car, everyone had their eyes set on her. She was definitely stunning now and even healthier, they actually wondered why. Was there something that they have missed? Her long vintage-looking gown made her look mature enough and made her look stronger than she already is. Just in time, Romeo turned to look at Juliet. What he saw really did surprise him. It was a good decision not looking at the sketches of the undone gown after all. He groomed himself and waited for his bride to come. With Sir. Capulet escorting her, Juliet slowly walked down the aisle. There's no stopping them now, she's only a few steps further from another chapter of her life with her most beloved one. The moment which she actually had second thoughts, thinking it was still too early but now she couldn't care less; this was all she wanted all along. While walking a flashback entered her mind:

Start of the Flashback:

“ I will drink for you my beloved Romeo” said Juliet before she drank the vial. Suddenly she heard a loud knock from the door. “Young miss you have to come outside quick!” the Nurse shouted. “Your father” she continued while catching her breath “ he found out about you and Romeo” the Nurse finished. “What?!” said Juliet obvious that she was really shocked

Downstairs:

“What in Hades suddenly went inside my daughter’s mind?” shouted Capulet. “Hush my dear, it won’t do you any good” pleaded Lady Capulet. Their argument was stopped for a second when Juliet came towards them while panting. In just a blink of an eye Capulet slapped Juliet straight to her cheek. “ You insolent fool of a daughter, do you know how much trouble you just brought us? What are you thinking suddenly marrying that son of proud Montague?! Tell me Juliet, What is it?” shouted Capulet. “I love him father! He’s my everything, I would die for him!” explained Juliet while touching her swollen cheek. “How about Paris? How will you explain everything to him? You agreed to marry him and then this?! How low can you get?” Capulet shouted while shaking his daughter by her shoulders. “ I don’t care what will happen in the future all I know is that I love him!” said Juliet while shrugging off her shoulders after it she ran away. “Juliet!” shouted Nurse, she was about to follow her when someone held her arm “ Let her be” Capulet said with his bangs covering his eyes showing mixed emotions of guilt, anger and concern.

In the Afternoon:

Sir. Capulet summoned Paris for a meeting and to discuss something about his daughter and Paris’ wedding. “ A pleasant afternoon soon-to- be father.” Paris said while bowing.” I have a confession to make Paris” said Capulet while looking at Paris straight to his eyes. “What is it Sir?” Paris said while sitting on the chair. “Your marriage with Juliet will be cancelled” Capulet answered while looking outside the window.” What?” Paris said while standing up “you can’t do this to me! An agreement will always be an agreement!” he continued.”Don’t raise your voice while talking to me young man ! It is my duty to provide Juliet her happiness and unfortunately her happiness was not in your hands.” Paris can’t even utter a word and just stormed off to Capulet’s manor.

After five days Juliet was still missing and the Capulets were all worried. One day, a letter came from an unknown person and what is written shocked everyone especially when they figured out that Paris was the sender . The letter says that Juliet was held as a hostage and they have a day to continue the marriage or they will face death together. Romeo’s trusted friend Balthazar heard about that and hurried of to go to Mantua and tell Romeo the news. Romeo was terrified he went straight to Verona to rescue Juliet. In order to retrieve Juliet he has to defeat Paris in a one in one combat, as expected Romeo defeated Paris and was sent to jail by the name of prince Escallus. Romeo returned Juliet to the Capulet manor and was welcomed by a relieved and thankful Capulet. Since then, Capulet accepted Romeo to be with Juliet and the peace between Montague and Capulet started.

End of Flashback.

The moment they were already one step closer to Romeo, Juliet looked up to her dad with some unexplainable emotions. With a smile and a slight nod Sir. Capulet let go of her, handing her to Romeo. This is really is it!

Seeing her father nod and smile, Juliet smiled back at him and finally let go of him. She slowly turned to Romeo and smiled. Then, the ceremony started.

              After saying their vows, it was finally the time for the wedding ring ceremony vows.

As Romeo placed the ring on Juliet’s finger, he said, "I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day."

With a smile, Juliet placed the ring on Romeo’s finger saying, "This ring is a token of my love. I marry you with this ring, with all that I have and with all that I am."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Says the priest accompanied by the claps of the crowd as Romeo uncovered Juliet’s face of her veil.

Juliet grinned as Romeo’s face neared her. She could tell Romeo was in a hurry to kiss her. And she could say she is, too. And then, they kissed. It was a quiet long and passionate one which made the people and especially the ones who covered their wedding clap ever louder. They both faced the crowd, smiling. 

           

           My Source of Hope

          A family is a blessing that we all should be grateful to have. What does family mean to you? Each of us has different opinions, some may say love and some may say pain.  My family is my support system, my mother; my father, aunts, and cousins all provide me with some type of support or guidance. To me family means love, friendship, and support.

            Love is something that everyone knows about whether is receiving love or giving love. It is a feeling that no human being can live without, my family feels love is a big issue. In my life time there were situations that arouse that I would not have made it through without my family. When I was in great sorrow, my aunt took off work so that she could be with me during my time of grief.

            Our family system is very unique because everyone takes care of everyone in some way. Obviously my parents take care of the entire family, but in my family the oldest takes care of everyone younger and the next takes care of those who are under them and so on. Our system works well because sometimes my parents can’t be there or help out so we look to our other family members for advice or help. It just brings our family closer and closer.

            My family members are very caring and watchful. If there is an opposing force it will be noticed and seen. We as a family then communicate it to each other or to that one person directly. We then leave it up to that family member to deal with it on their own unless asked or if it is a real serious situation. Opposing forces have no place in our family because we keep it so tight.

            I love everything that I have especially my family. They mean so much to me. They are my strength, my life and my everything. If I had to choose, I will always choose them as my family. I’m so grateful that I have them in my life, with them by my side I know I will have a source of hope.

Things I’ll Never Say Out Loud

              There are often situations and times, when I forget to hug you, kiss and tell you that I love you. Sometimes when you call, I won’t have the mood to talk to you because I am busy using my laptop. Sometimes I forget to comfort you if you are down and most of all; I always forget to thank you for everything you do and every sacrifices you made for us. In this essay I will pour all my memories with you. Papa, I will use this opportunity to tell you things that I guess I will never have the guts to tell you every day.


               I’m Sorry. The first thing out of three that I want to tell you. I am sorry for being such a pain, especially when I force you to buy me things that I want. Do you remember when I was seven I cried my eyes out just to convince you to buy me a Barbie doll? That memory still lingers in my mind clearly, that day I saw a Barbie that wears a beautiful purple gown, it caught my eyes because it was from the Barbie movie that I watched the night before. I asked mama if she’ll buy that for me and I was scolded. Like I said I was hard headed back then, so I dragged you near the Barbie doll forced you to buy that for me. I am sorry for being insensitive. Sometimes I call you names that is never to your liking I also do pranks on you because I really enjoy every second of it. I am sorry if I always act like a spoiled brat. Remember when I told you that I will never want a younger sibling? The real reason behind that is that I don’t want to be left behind and I wanted yours and mama’s attention focused on me and ate.


               Thank you. I do not know how to say this papa but I want to thank you for everything. Thank you for being a fan. When I was younger you always encourage me to sing. You always buy karaoke dvds’ just for me, you always push me to the level that I will be able to sing in front of many people. Thank you for being our clown. When I was down, you always make me smile by doing things that you know will crack my shell. Thank you for telling me stories. I remember when I was seven you told me a story about canned sardines, I was really captured by that time, I believed every part and was amazed in every scene of it. Thank you for your understanding. Every time that I am in a bad mood you will always do things that will brighten me up. Remember the day when I purposely broke my sandals? Every time it will flash in my mind I can’t help but to laugh at my spoiled brat attitude.


                   I love you. You have always been in my life, from the day I first opened my eyes to the present moment. You are a teacher, a guide, and a source of strength and support. You, whom I look up to with loving trust and pride. With a willing hand to lend, you are a helper, an adviser and my partner in crime. You showed me the stars and taught me how to reach them. You mean the world to me; you are my one and only father. Even if you are far from me, I will always stay by your side. I know it is a bit cheesy, but still papa, I will always be there for you like you have been for me. I want you to feel special by writing instead of saying things that I’ll never say at least out loud.

High School Life and Overcoming Challenges

                High school life. One of the very important parts of a person’s life. The best part, actually. During this time you will experience physical development, emotions, friendship, relationships and of course, tons of knowledge. This time is precious because it only happens once in a lifetime. It marks your whole life. Just like the moon, high school life also, has its dark facade. This side contains the challenges students will have to conquer, difficulties they have to overcome and the hardest to deal with is coping with the new environment especially classmates.

           

            Being a high school student I also conquered a lot of difficulties not just coping with my environment but doubting myself if I can do something or prove something. Our first day of school started last June 04, 2012. That day will always be memorable for me because of the unexplainable nervousness that is lingering inside me. I kept on thinking about the challenges that I will be encountering on the new path that I am taking, I am having doubts if I can surpass everything that will come my way. I am afraid of failing that is why I am afraid to try things that I am having doubts with. I am now in third year level of high school. It has been two years since I attended high school, but in that two years time I didn’t change much and I am still afraid and hides in my own shell.

           

            This year, I wanted to be someone that is vulnerable in surpassing challenges. This year I wanted to be someone that has enough trust in herself and someone who has less doubts. I wanted to change, but changes were never easy. I will have to exert a lot of willpower to overcome my fears. I have to gather a lot of determination to earn trust and assurance for myself.

           

            I really have to work hard on this year. I wanted to see the progress in myself when the school year ends. One thing is really on my mind, a challenge is like a landslide and you have to move it out of the road if you want to proceed further and if not then you are stuck and will never reach your goal. I believe that if I will always keep that in mind I will be able to face challenges and one thing’s for sure I will be able to handle a third year student’s life!
